Howth is a picturesque peninsula in north Dublin Bay. It holds a significant place in James Joyce's famous novel Ulysses as a memory of love and intimacy between Leopold Bloom, the protagonist, and his wife Molly. This memory contrasts with the strained state of their relationship during the day the novel takes place. This watercolour attempts to capture these vibrant moments.
