Commissioned by Transport for London in 2024, this expansive 400-square-meter mural graces 100 meters of the Woolwich Ferry wall in London. The piece took 1,000 hours to complete over six months and forms part of my ongoing project, ‘Stepback.’ This project explores the use of large black-and-white halftones to create op art, emphasising the importance of perspective—knowing when to step back to see the bigger picture in life. The mural brings to life the Arsenal’s historical cannon production, connecting Woolwich’s industrial past to a powerful contemporary message: in our fragile times, freedom—often taken for granted—demands both vigilance and reflection.
